Welcome to our Class page. As we progress through the year, new items will be added to give a flavour of learning in Year 3.
Our first topic of the year is called,"Set in Stone," and focuses upon our prehistoric past, from the Stone Age right up to the Iron Age.
We've been finding out all about some of the amazing discoveries made in the Caves of Lascaux, France. Why not go online and take a virtual tour yourself, we're sure you'll be impressed! Just like the Cave People, we ground up a variety of materials to create our own cave paints! Great fun, making for an aromatic classroom!
Recently we had a great day at Penlee House Museum, where we took part in a prehistoric workshop. Children got to view and handle artefacts and make their own badges and pots. A big thank you to Zoe and museum staff for a terrific learning experience!
Why not take a peek at our film below?
Do you know what Stone Age people made their instruments from, or what they might have sounded like? Well, thanks to Mr Lane's expertise we do! Hopefully we'll soon add our own music!
